Celebrating the Life of

Joel Oliver

June 09, 1971 - September 03, 2025

Obituary

Joel Aputi Oliver of Lakeside, Texas, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 03, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born on June 9, 1971, in Cavite, Philippines, and had lived in the Fort Worth area since the age of six months.
After graduating from Castleberry High School in 1989, Joel moved to Austin, Texas, where he met and married his beautiful wife of 31 years, Janay. She returned with Joel to the Fort Worth area in 2003 to raise their family. He was devoted to his wife and children, who were his greatest pride and joy. Joel is survived by his wife, Janay, and four exceptional children, Autumn Rose, Savannah Mai, Justice Wyatt, and Tucker Eli; his mother, Milagros; siblings, Theresa, JD, Joseph, and Elizabeth; 23 nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, and cousins, all who hold him dearly in their hearts. Joel will be remembered as a true family man and friend for life, and someone who always showed up. Everyone knew he could be counted on for advice, support, or encouragement. He was always willing to lend a hand or take care of what needed fixing. He loved football and Sci-Fi, and was an avid collector of all things, with a special fondness for toys and records. He had an incredible sense of humor and will be remembered as a true Trekkie. Although Joel’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. “Live Long and Prosper”
